INVISIBILITY RITUALS (GUEST)

In 2012, I was invited to stay at my employer's guesthouse, with the condition that I return the room to its original state each morning. I seized this as an opportunity to create a series of videos documenting the daily ritual of erasing my presence from the house. Each recording features me in a performance capture suit, tracing my movements within the space. Partly an homage to the film Jeanne Dielman, 23 quai du Commerce, 1080 Bruxelles, this ongoing project delves into the mandate to transcend life's minutiae, and examines how space and time is transformed through labor.
