Kristofor Giordano is a visual artist whose work spans objects, videos, drawings, and performances. Grounded in fieldwork and critical research, his practice explores modernity’s extractive rituals, capitalism’s erotic hold on reality, and the systematic commodification of nature. Using techniques like impersonation, feedback, inversion, encryption, and translation, his art highlights the libidinal forces shaping technological pursuits that extend beyond human temporality, dimensions, and scale. Drawing on Black, decolonial, Marxist, posthuman, and "subterranean" thought, Giordano reconfigures personal, cultural, and scientific archives to explore how time and space are manipulated to serve the West’s self-mythologization.

Giordano received his MFA from CalArts in 2022 and is currently based in Los Angeles. This past Spring 2024, he was a resident on The Arctic Circle Art and Science Expedition. His current research examines themes of masculinity and dispossession through Romanticism, psychoanalysis, horror, and science fiction. Using the figure of the Monster in Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, Giordano seeks to trace socio-environmental collapse to the production of the non-human Other.
